Jonathan Rea: Racing Excellence, Paving the Fast Lane.

Born on February 2, 1987, Jonathan Rea OBE is a professional motorcycle racer from Northern Ireland. He is a competitor in the Superbike World Championship and has won the title six times.

Having won the Superbike World Championship six times, in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020, he is the first of his kind. In addition, he holds the record for fastest laps, podium finishes, and overall points (more than 5,000 acquired as of the end of August 2021). He has won the most SBK races (107).

In the past, Jonathan Rea finished second in the British Superbike Championship in 2007 for the HM Plant Honda team and second in the Supersport World Championship in 2008 for the Ten Kate Honda squad. Irish Motorcycle of the Year was bestowed upon him in the years 2007, 2008, 2011, and 2016. Rea has not been a consistent rider in the competition, but she did make two MotoGP starts in 2012 and finished with points both times. 

Jonathan Rea placed second in the competition and was nominated for the 2017 BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award.
